About Me ~

My online name is DormamuRaptor, but people usually call me Dormamu, Raptor, or Dormie. I’m a 9th grader suffering from laziness and piles of homework who likes the GSG 9 and GIGN. I’m pretty passionate in drawing — albeit my amateur skills — and playing games like Geometry Dash, Team Fortress and Counter-Strike. Those aside, I also listen to music frequently and make bits of fanfic revolving around GD music artists (like DJVI, Creo, Teminite, and meganeko), but that’s not what this site is for since it’s for art showcase purposes, not life story or anything (except this page, isn’t it about “about me?”).

The reason I like to draw is that I like to convey my imagination visually, whether it’s about fanfiction or not. I started drawing back in 2016 when I got my first Samsung Tab with Autodesk Sketchbook in it. At that time, I was addicted to Animal Mechanicals and Dragon City and so I tried to draw them (terribly), posting it to Instagram, and my friends were amazed by the art. From there, I focus myself on drawing that I like while moving to each fandom like an inconsistent person.

The very first art posted on my Instagram

As of 2017, I hopped into the Team Fortress rabbit hole via Source Filmmaker animations on YT. Then the Marvel bandwagon during Infinity War era (2018), left after for MLP and rejoined TF (plus Geometry Dash) on the same year. What’s funny is that I got to play Team Fortress 2 solely in mid 2021 with Global Offensive. That was the time I finally want to play games on a laptop (no PC sadly). Other fandoms include Lumi and Birzzle.

Those games influence my imagination boost and help me getting better in drawing. But sometimes, I can be unoriginal and copy someone else’s art (which isn’t a good thing, but it had to be done for the sake of visualized imagination).

Anyway, I draw using both my phone (Autodesk Sketchbook) and an iPad (Procreate). Both are different and distinct from each other, but both are equally as fun to use. Here are the art examples using each art softwares.

That’s all I can say

I hope you like what you’ve read! 😀
